Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Network Engineer to provide advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and governance support for a complex enterprise and hybrid cloud network environment. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across network security, cloud networking, automation, wireless, and load balancing technologies, with ownership of problem management, RCA, and change approval.
The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority, supporting mission-critical services and ensuring network availability, performance, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Network Support & Troubleshooting
Provide L3-level support for enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall, and wireless infrastructure.
Act as the final escalation point for complex and high-impact network incidents.
Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Problem Management & RCA
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and critical network issues.
Lead problem management activities and implement permanent corrective actions.
Produce RCA reports and preventive recommendations.
Routing, Switching & Network Services
Manage and support routing and switching environments using BGP and OSPF.
Support SD-WAN platforms to ensure resiliency and performance.
Manage core network services including DNS and DHCP.
Security & Firewall Engineering
Provide expert-level administration and support for Palo Alto Firewalls, including:
o Security policy design and optimization
o NAT, IPSec/SSL VPNs, and traffic inspection
o Threat prevention and security hardening
Support and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls.
Ensure firewall configurations align with security policies and compliance requirements.
Cloud & Hybrid Networking (Microsoft Azure)
Support Microsoft Azure networking, including:
o VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs
o Azure VPN Gateway and hybrid connectivity
Troubleshoot and optimize cloud-to-on-prem and inter-VNet traffic flows.
Ensure secure and resilient hybrid network connectivity.
Cisco Platforms – Automation, Access Control & Wireless
Operate and support Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for network assurance and automation.
Manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control (NAC), AAA, and policy
enforcement.
Support Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and enterprise wireless networks.
Load Balancing & Application Delivery
Manage and support F5 Load Balancers, including:
o Virtual servers, pools, nodes, and health monitors
o Traffic management and application delivery policies
Troubleshoot application performance and availability issues.
Change Management & Governance
Review, assess, and approve network changes as part of the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Support major network changes, upgrades, and migrations, including rollback planning.
Ensure adherence to ITIL-based change management processes.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure network compliance, configuration backups, and security hardening.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
Support audits and security reviews as required.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering with L3 ownership
Strong hands-on experience with:
o Palo Alto Firewalls (mandatory, expert level)
o Microsoft Azure Networking
o Cisco DNAC, Cisco FTD, Cisco ISE, Cisco WLC
o F5 Load Balancers
Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN
Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network services
Certifications (Preferred / Mandatory)
Cisco: CCNP Enterprise / Security (CCIE preferred)
Palo Alto Networks: PCNSE (strongly preferred)
Microsoft Azure: AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate)
F5 Networks: F5-CA or F5 Certified Specialist (LTM)
ITIL® 4 Foundation (preferred)
